SUNDAY JAZZ BRUNCH: I Want to Talk About You by John Coltrane - Sometimes there is a song or even an album that can jump from a winter to a summer playlist.  The Soultrane album is one of those that started as a winter album in my college days as I was just starting to get into jazz and Coltrane.  It would be my traveling album back and forth from Boston to NYC during holiday breaks.  It was an album that warmed me up.

Nowadays I play this any time of year, but I love to listen to this during summer evenings or early mornings before the house awakes.  It is all about the calm and collected moments.  I Want to Talk About You was a ballad written and performed by the great swing-era bandleader Billy Eckstine.  Trane would play this longish ballad often during his career and it is one of my favorite chill tunes.  Enjoy the brunch and enjoy the tunes and have an awesome day!
